The forms are mostly available in a fillable version. This is provided centrally by the Federal Ministry of Finance. You can access the forms management system of the Federal Ministry of Finance via the following Internet address: http://www.formulare-bfinv.de/. 
If you wish to continue using paper forms to prepare your tax return, you can generally obtain these from the tax offices and municipal administrations. However, not all tax offices and municipal administrations can provide them on site. Therefore, please find out in advance whether the paper forms can be collected in person or by which other means you can obtain them.
We would also like to draw your attention to the option of submitting your tax return securely and conveniently electronically. You can find more information on this at elster.de.

Please note that it is not possible to send the forms published here to the tax office via the Internet or e-mail. Please print out the form and send it as usual by post to the tax office responsible for you.

If you would like to submit your tax return to the tax office electronically, you can use Elster-Formular, a free programme provided by the tax authorities.
