Receiving or requesting pension information
From your 27th birthday onwards, you will receive pension information each year from your pension insurance provider, provided that you have paid contributions for a total of at least 5 years. You may also make an informal request for pension information at any time.

Soweit die Voraussetzungen gegeben sind, können folgende Altersrenten beantragt werden:
Anträge auf Regelaltersrente (ab 65.Lebensjahr).
Anträge auf vorzeitige Altersrenten:
- für Frauen (frühestens ab 60.Lebensjahr)
- für Schwerbehinderte oder Erwerbsunfähige (frühestens ab 60.Lebensjahr)
- für langjährig Versicherte (frühestens ab 63.Lebensjahr)
- für besonders langjährig Versicherte (ab 63.Lebensjahr)
Zur Vermeidung von Wartezeiten, können für folgende Zeiträume Termine vereinbart werden, ansonsten gelten die allgemeinen Öffnungszeiten:

donnerstags von 13:30 - 17:30 Uhr

- You are or were insured with the German Pension Insurance Fund.
- You are at least 27 years old.
- You have paid statutory pension insurance contributions for at least 5 years.
- You do not yet receive a pension from your own insurance fund.

Verfahrensablauf
You will receive your pension information by post automatically each year, provided that you meet the requirements. You do not need to submit an application. However, you may also make an informal request for pension information at any time.
If you wish to receive your pension information by post, you may also request this online without further registration:
- Visit the website of the German Pension Insurance Fund and click on "Online-Dienste" [Online services]. Select "Online-Dienste ohne Registrierung" [Online services without registration] from the drop-down menu and click on "Versicherungsunterlagen anfordern" [Request insurance documents].
- Select "Renteninformation" [Pension information] in the field "Anforderung von…" [Request of ...] and enter the remaining information.
- Click on "Absenden" [Submit].
- You will receive your pension information by post.
If you wish to receive your pension information directly online, you must first register online:
- Visit the website of the German Pension Insurance Fund and click on "Online-Dienste" [Online services].
- Select "Online-Dienste mit Registrierung" [Online services with registration] from the drop-down menu. You may then register using either:
- your personal identity card (eID) or your residence permit (eAT) with an activated electronic identification function, or
- your electronic signature card.
- Your pension information will then be shown to you onscreen. If your pension information is currently being processed or contains implausible data, nothing will be shown onscreen. You will be informed if this is the case.

The pension information also contains an express reference to the fact that the calculation of your estimated pension does not account for any loss of purchasing power. You will find a specific example calculation of loss of purchasing power on the rear side of the pension information provided.
