Ukraine crisis; self-reporting by refugees

If you wish to stay in Bavaria longer than your residence status allows or if you need help now or at a later date (e.g. accommodation, food, medical care), you must be registered.

The European Union has decided to open the admission procedure for war refugees from Ukraine in accordance with the EU Temporary Protection Directive. This means that an unbureaucratic procedure for the admission of war refugees from Ukraine is now possible in Germany.

Please contact the nearest registration office. These are

• all district administrative authorities (district administration offices and independent cities);
• the ANKER facilities in Manching, Deggendorf, Regensburg, Bamberg, Zirndorf and Schweinfurt;
• the administrative center in Augsburg;
• the arrival center in Munich;
• the Federal Police processing lines in Passau and Rosenheim.

You will be registered there and asked whether you need accommodation.

If you need accommodation, you will be allocated a place in accommodation.

If you have already found accommodation, you can continue your journey there or return after registering.
