Recreational stay in family holiday homes; application for funding

If you would like to travel with your children and decide to stay at a family holiday home, you can receive a grant under certain conditions.

Purpose

A family vacation together can - in addition to the necessary health recovery - make a significant contribution to improving the family climate. Relationships between parents, but above all between parents and children, can be strengthened. This can create important and resilient foundations for everyday family life.

The grant is intended to enable families in economically difficult situations to spend a vacation together once a year.

Object

Family vacations for recreation in family holiday resorts are eligible for funding.

Beneficiaries

Private individuals are eligible to apply: mothers, fathers, single parents, expectant parents, foster parents and, in justified exceptional cases, grandparents (e.g. if the parents are ill).

Eligible costs

The costs of accommodation in a family holiday home are eligible for funding.

Type and amount

The funding is granted as a subsidy.

The type of grant is a project grant.
The funding period covers the entire duration of the project.

The state grants are awarded as fixed-amount funding as part of project funding.

The grant can amount to up to EUR 19.50 per day of meals per eligible child and adult and up to EUR 25.50 for a child who is not only temporarily physically, mentally or emotionally disabled.

The recipient of the grant must provide at least 10% of the eligible expenditure from its own funds.

Recipients of grants for family vacations are parents, parents, foster parents, single mothers and fathers and, in justified exceptional cases, grandparents (e.g. if the parents are ill).

Funding for a recreational stay in a family holiday home can be approved if

• you are spending your vacation at a family holiday home. Family holiday homes within the meaning of the framework agreement are the facilities listed in Annex 1 to the framework agreement. Recreational stays in private accommodation or other vacation facilities are not funded.
• you only make a binding booking for the vacation stay at the family holiday home once your application for funding has been received by the Bavarian Family and Social Affairs Center (ZBFS) and you have received confirmation of receipt of the application from the ZBFS.
• You are a parent, parent, foster parent or single parent with one or more children for whom you receive child benefit. In justified exceptional cases, grandparents with a grandchild or several grandchildren for whom the parents, parent(s), foster parents and single mothers and fathers receive child benefit can also apply for support.
• Your family has its main residence in Bavaria.
• Your recreational stay lasts at least 6 board days (up to 14 board days are eligible; arrival and departure count together as one board day).
• Your annual net income for the previous calendar year prior to the application is below the following maximum income limits

1. for a single parent (with one child): EUR 31,000
2. for both parents (with one child) EUR 34,000
3. these income limits increase by EUR 4,800 for each additional child.

or you receive benefits according to SGB II or XII and housing benefit and/or child supplement.

• you have not yet received a grant for a vacation stay for this year.
• you are taking part in a parent and family education program during your vacation

(optional) objection procedure. In the event of a negative outcome, a minimum fee plus expenses (postal service certificate) of currently EUR 29.11 will be charged. For withdrawal proceedings: Minimum fee plus expenses (postal service certificate) currently EUR 19.11.

You can apply online or in writing to the Zentrum Bayern Familie und Soziales (ZBFS) for funding for a recreational stay at a family holiday home:

• Once the application and the relevant documents have been received, the basic entitlement will be checked and you will receive notification of whether funding will be granted and, if so, how much it will be.
• Together with the notification, you will receive a "Confirmation" form and a "Declaration by the Grant Recipient" form.
• The "Confirmation" form is to be completed by the family holiday home at the end of your vacation, the declaration of the recipient of the grant is to be completed by yourself.
• Please send both forms together with the invoice from the family holiday center to the ZBFS immediately after your vacation. It is sufficient to submit a copy of the invoice. The original invoice will only be returned on request.
• After receipt of the two forms and the invoice from the family holiday center, the use of the grant will be checked and paid out to you in the amount due. Advance payment or assignment is not possible.

(Please note that state funding can only be granted if the application for funding is received by the ZBFS before the family holiday center is booked. A booking may only be made after the ZBFS has confirmed receipt of the application).

The application deadline is 3 week(s). The application should generally be submitted at least three weeks before the start of the family vacation. State funding can only be granted if the application for funding is received by the ZBFS before the family holiday home is booked. Funding will only be provided for stays for which no booking has been made with the family holiday center at the time of application. A non-binding reservation with the family holiday resort is permitted, but a booking may only be made after the ZBFS has confirmed receipt of the application. The "Confirmation" and "Declaration by the grant recipient" forms and the invoice from the family holiday resort must be submitted within three months of the end of the approved travel period.

A processing time of 2 week(s) to 4 week(s) is to be expected.

  • Vollständiger Einkommenssteuerbescheid des vorvergangenen Jahres vor der Antragstellung: Eine Lohnsteuerbescheinigung allein genügt nicht. Wenn Sie nicht zur Einkommenssteuer veranlagt werden oder ein entsprechender Einkommenssteuerbescheid noch nicht erteilt wurde, wird das anzurechnende Einkommen mit einem entsprechenden Einkommensfragebogen ermittelt (siehe Seite 7 des Onlineantrags bzw. Seite 4 des Antragsvordrucks).
  • Aktueller Nachweis des Kindergeldbezuges: Zum Beispiel eine Kopie des letzten Kontoauszuges mit Namen des Kontoinhabers oder Bezügemitteilung. Auf dem Kontoauszug müssen nur der Name des Kontoinhabers, der Buchungstag des Kindergeldes, der Kindergeldbetrag und als Verwendungszweck das Kindergeld ersichtlich sein. Alle weiteren Daten des Kontoauszugs dürfen geschwärzt werden.
  • Wenn Sie zum Zeitpunkt der Antragstellung Leistungen nach dem SGB II und XII beziehen: aktueller Bescheid über die Leistungen: z. B. Bescheid über den Bezug von Arbeitslosengeld II, Sozialhilfe oder über den Anspruch auf Kinderzuschlag und/oder Wohngeld an Stelle des Steuerbescheides oder Einkommensfragebogens.
