Office for first aid training; application for official recognition

Anyone wishing to conduct first aid courses for driving license applicants requires official recognition as a "first aid training center".

Applicants for a driving license must, among other things, take part in suitable first aid training. Suitable training courses are carried out by bodies that are officially recognized for this purpose.

The government of the Upper Palatinate grants official recognition throughout Bavaria to bodies that provide first aid training for obtaining a driver's license.

Under certain conditions, bodies authorized by an accident insurance institution to provide first aid training do not require such recognition.

• Proof of reliability of the applicant as well as the trainers

  (simple certificates of good conduct, no more than 3 months old)

• Proof of the medical-professional and pedagogical qualification and, if necessary, corresponding further training of the instructors.
