Environmental station; application for funding
The Free State of Bavaria awards grants to state-recognized environmental stations for educational work in the sense of high-quality education for sustainable development and environmental education (ESD/UB).
Description
Purpose
The purpose of the grant is to promote the educational work of the state-recognized environmental stations in the sense of high-quality ESD/ESD, which serve public interests and the implementation of the educational mandate in the sense of the Bavarian Constitution and which cannot offer ESD/ESD educational work or cannot offer it to a sufficient extent without grants. Environmental stations are multifunctional extracurricular facilities that develop educational programs for education for sustainable development/ESD with the help of qualified experts and offer them to participants in suitable premises and/or in the great outdoors. The aim is to establish a geographically balanced, nationwide network of environmental stations on a permanent basis and thus enable sustainable ESD/ESD close to home for the Bavarian population.
Object
Grants are awarded for high-quality educational programs that are aligned with the guiding principle of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). ESD imparts factual knowledge about sustainability and promotes skills and competencies to actively shape a social transformation towards sustainability. The focus here is particularly on design skills, but also on the ability to think ahead and act autonomously, as well as participation in social decision-making processes. ESD enables everyone to understand the impact of their own actions on the world and to make responsible, sustainable decisions.
Recipients of grants
Grants can be awarded to state-recognized environmental stations. The recipient of the grant is the legal entity that is the sponsor of a state-recognized environmental station and whose registered office and business operations are located in Bavaria, for example a municipality, church institution or organization recognized as a non-profit organization.
Eligible costs
Eligible costs are expenses in connection with educational offers in the sense of high-quality ESD/ESD, in particular their preparation, implementation and evaluation, including the necessary organizational and administrative costs.
Type and scope
The grant is provided as project funding by way of fixed-amount financing for the duration of one calendar year.
The amount of the grant is 30,000 euros per environmental station. This is subject to the condition that the total amount of eligible expenditure incurred for the ESD/UB educational work of the environmental station during the approval period, after deduction of the income associated with the ESD/UB educational work, reaches or exceeds the amount of EUR 30,000.
