Environmental management system; submission of the declaration on the proof of use

The Free State of Bavaria supports companies with their registered office or branch office in Bavaria that are organized in project groups and wish to introduce an environmental management system. It is no longer possible to apply for funding.

Purpose

The grant is intended to encourage Bavarian companies to adopt a corporate environmental policy that systematically anchors environmental protection in companies and internal processes in such a way that not only compliance with the relevant environmental regulations is strengthened, but also continuous and sustainable voluntary improvements in corporate environmental performance are made.

Object

Funding is provided exclusively within the framework of project groups. A project sponsor organizes group consultations.

Recipients of funding

Funding is provided exclusively within the framework of project groups (minimum 5 to maximum 15 participants).

The project sponsor and the individual project group participants are eligible to apply.

Project sponsors can be companies, business organizations, such as chambers, associations or guilds, and municipalities. Consultancies are excluded from project sponsorship.

Project group participants are commercial enterprises, freelancers, business organizations, such as chambers, associations or guilds, or municipal enterprises and municipal companies based or established in Bavaria.

Eligible expenditure

Funding is available for

• Expenses for group and individual consultations
• Validation, certification or external audit of the management system introduced and its one-off revalidation or recertification
• Expenses incurred by the project sponsor for organizational management
• Appropriate and proven rental expenses

Type and amount

The funding is provided in the form of grants as project funding by way of pro rata financing.

A grant amounting to 80% of the eligible expenditure is awarded. The eligible expenditure of the project sponsor is recognized up to a maximum of EUR 3,000. The eligible expenses of the project group participants are recognized depending on the focus of the funded environmentally oriented management.

A grant in accordance with the guidelines for the promotion of environmentally-oriented management in Bavarian companies (Bavarian Environmental Management and Audit Program - BUMAP) was approved.

The BUMAP funding guideline expired on 31.12.2024, therefore it is no longer possible to apply for funding. Only the declaration of proof of use can still be submitted.

In the case of electronic transmission, project sponsors and project group participants must have a BayernID account in the "user name / password" variant.
