Pregnancy counseling; application for voluntary additional funding from state-approved counseling centers

Purpose

The purpose of the funding is to ensure a sufficient pluralistic range of local advice centers.

Object

Eligible for funding are state-recognized pregnancy counselling centres with a defined catchment area in the Free State of Bavaria in accordance with Art. 12 Para. 1 of the Bavarian Pregnancy Counselling Act (BaySchwBerG).

Recipients of funding

The providers of pregnancy counseling centers are eligible to apply, provided they meet the requirements of Art. 17 BaySchwBerG.

Eligible costs

The personnel and material expenses necessary for the operation of a recognized counselling centre can be funded in accordance with the BaySchwBerG and the Implementing Ordinance to the Bavarian Pregnancy Counselling Act (BaySchwBerV) as amended.

Type and amount

Funding is provided as partial funding within the framework of project funding. Grants of up to 15% of the eligible expenditure of a pregnancy advice center are awarded.

The state-recognized pregnancy advice centres must meet the requirements of Art. 16 BaySchwBerG. These include, for example

• State recognition,
• minimum staffing,
• Involvement of psychologists, doctors, lawyers,
• opening hours,
• annual activity report,
• no cooperation with abortion facilities.

The application and verification of use is carried out by the government of Middle Franconia.
