Severely disabled persons; application for benefits by employees

Severely disabled employees, civil servants and the self-employed can receive benefits in particular

• for technical work aids,
• for setting up a self-employed business,
• for participation in further training measures,
• to cover the costs of necessary work assistance,
• for assistance in reaching the workplace or
• in special life situations.

The Inclusion Office at the Zentrum Bayern Familie und Soziales (ZBFS) can grant benefits to severely disabled employees to ensure equal participation in working life. The benefits can be paid as a grant up to the full amount of the costs incurred, or as a loan in the case of assistance with setting up a self-employed business. The amount of the benefit depends on the circumstances of the individual case.

• Fully completed application form
• Copy of the employee's severely handicapped ID card or copy of the equal opportunities notice from the employment agency
• Copy of the assessment notice from the Bavarian Centre for Family and Social Affairs
• cost estimate for the planned purchases or measures
