Public tourism infrastructure facilities; application for funding

Purpose

The funding is intended to increase the attractiveness and improve the quality of the tourism infrastructure in the assisted areas.

Object

Funding is provided for public tourism facilities in Bavaria. Public facilities are basic tourism infrastructure facilities that are of direct importance for the performance and economic development of tourism areas and primarily serve regional tourism.

Recipients of funding

Applications may be submitted by municipal bodies and exclusively municipally supported organizations.

Eligible costs

Only expenditure on investments in tangible and intangible assets that are causally related to the project, are necessary for the implementation of the project, comply with the principles of economic efficiency and economy and are to be borne by the project sponsor are eligible for funding.

Type and amount

The grant is awarded as project funding by way of pro rata financing as an investment grant. The initial funding rate for funding projects is 35%. A higher funding rate may be granted, taking into account the location of the investment site in a particularly structurally weak area, the financial capacity of the project sponsor and other factors.

Funding is possible if ...

• there is a need for tourism and the predominantly touristic use is guaranteed,
• the eligible expenditure is at least EUR 100,000 or at least EUR 50,000 in the case of cross-country ski trail and trail maintenance equipment and at least EUR 10,000 in the case of independent projects to create accessibility

Application

Applications must be submitted to the responsible district government before the start of the project. A grant can only be approved for projects that have not yet been started.
