Commercial register; inspection

Anyone is permitted to inspect the commercial register and the documents submitted for this purpose for information purposes. A legitimate interest in the inspection does not have to be demonstrated.

The register and the documents submitted to the register can be inspected during office hours at the registry court's office. As the registers are now kept completely electronically, inspection is regularly carried out via a corresponding computer workstation or by inspecting a current printout of the register data. The register data and the electronically submitted documents can be inspected at any Bavarian register court. However, documents submitted in paper form before 2007 can only be viewed at the register court where the respective company is registered.

In addition, the registers can be viewed online free of charge via the register portal of the federal states (for links, see "Online procedure").

This register portal also enables nationwide searches and online viewing of the registers of the other federal states. The Bavarian register portal (RegisWEB), which was previously operated in parallel, has been switched off. The register portal is also used for nationwide announcements by the register courts.

Inspection of the commercial register is free of charge.

Please note that not every local court in Bavaria is responsible for keeping the commercial register. In Bavaria, the commercial registers are kept at the following local courts:
