Exemption from the requirement of technical or craft training.

Exemption from the requirement of technical or manual training required to obtain the certificate of competence for work on stationary refrigeration and air conditioning systems, heat pumps, refrigeration systems in refrigerated trucks or trailers, electrical switchgear, as well as on equipment containing fluorinated greenhouse gases as solvents.

In order to carry out the following work, the persons carrying out the work require a certificate of competence for

• Work on stationary refrigeration and air conditioning systems and heat pumps,
• Recovery on equipment containing solvents based on fluorinated greenhouse gases,
• work on stationary electrical switchgear containing fluorinated greenhouse gases or
• activities on fire protection equipment including fire extinguishers containing fluorinated greenhouse gases,
• activities on refrigeration systems in refrigerated trucks and trailers, or
• activities on refrigeration systems in other motor vehicles and on other mobile refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

In order to obtain the certificate of competence for the activities in coats one to three and five, a successfully completed, qualifying technical or trade training is required. In individual cases, the chambers of crafts and trades and the chambers of industry and commerce may exempt persons from this requirement.

The competent authority will inform you which documents are required. The decision is made on a case-by-case basis.
