Chemicals; application for recognition of a training event for the acquisition of expertise

Recognition of a training event in accordance with Section 5 (2) sentence 1 ChemOzonSchichtV is granted by the Bavarian State Office for the Environment following examination of the application and the documents submitted.

The required expertise of persons who carry out certain work - such as the recovery or take-back of ozone-depleting refrigerants or the inspection and maintenance of equipment containing them - is demonstrated, among other things, by participation in a training course. This training course must be recognized by the competent authority.

If you would like to have a so-called advanced training course recognized, you must submit an application to the competent authority. Courses where the training provider is based in Bavaria can be applied for from the Bavarian State Office for the Environment.

The application must be made informally and in writing. The place and time of the event must be stated. The documents to be submitted can be found under "Required documents".

The training event to be recognized must impart the knowledge required for the respective area of responsibility. This includes knowledge of

• system technology,
• the relevant regulations, guidelines and generally recognized rules of technology, as well as
• the essential properties of the substances and preparations/mixtures concerned and the hazards associated with their use.
