Waste management activities; application for a permit

If you wish to collect or transport hazardous waste or trade in hazardous waste, you must apply for a permit for this activity from the competent authority.

    Description

According to Section 54 (1) of the Closed Substance Cycle Waste Management Act (KrWG), collectors, carriers, traders and brokers of hazardous waste require a permit. The permit must be issued if the requirements are met.

Various legal provisions stipulate that no permit is required in certain cases. These case constellations and underlying legal provisions are listed in Section 4.2 of Annex 2 of the Notification and Permit Ordinance - AbfAEV - (Art. 1 of the Ordinance of 5.12.2013, Federal Law Gazette I p. 4043) (see under "Legal bases").
