Driving school branch license; application

The operation of branch offices of a driving school (i.e. classrooms at locations other than the main operating location of the driving school) is only permitted if - in addition to the driving school permit (see related topics) - a branch office permit is available for each branch office. The district administrative authority at the location of the branch office is responsible.

• indication of the name and address of the driving school and for which category of motor vehicles he/she wishes to obtain the driving school branch licence
• Declaration of whether a driving school permit has already been issued and by which authority
• a plan to scale of the classrooms with details of their equipment
• Declaration that the prescribed teaching materials are available
• List of the number and type of training vehicles
• If more than ten branches are applied for: Submission of additional evidence of business organisation (e.g. use of a certified quality management system).

Fees and expenses are charged in accordance with the German Road Traffic Fee Regulations (GebOSt).
