Inpatient accommodation for people with disabilities; application for funding

The state supports the construction and conversion of residential homes for people with disabilities.

Purpose

To create individual, community-integrated forms of housing that enable people with disabilities to live independently and autonomously as far as possible.

Object

The state supports the construction and conversion of inpatient accommodation for people with disabilities.

Eligible costs

Funding is provided for land, construction and ancillary construction costs in accordance with §§ 5 to 8 of the Ordinance on Housing Calculations under the Second Housing Act (Zweite Berechnungsverordnung - II. BV) (= total costs).

Type and amount

The funding is granted in the form of pro rata financing/capital participation.
The type of grant is a project grant.

Depending on the type of facility, the state facility amounts to up to 70 percent of the respective eligible costs.

The prerequisite for funding is that a long-term need for residential places can be demonstrated and a technical concept is available that takes into account the goals of inclusion. The construction project may not be started or a purchase agreement concluded before the funding is approved.

As a rule, the projects must be submitted to the State Ministries for Family, Labour and Social Affairs and for Housing, Construction and Transport by 15 March of each year for inclusion in the annual funding program. The documents must therefore be submitted to the approval offices in good time beforehand. After the Bavarian State Ministry for Family Affairs, Labor and Social Affairs and the Bavarian State Ministry for Housing, Construction and Transport have drawn up the annual funding program, the sponsors of the planned projects will be invited by the granting agencies to submit applications. Loan approval and notification of approval are then sent to the project sponsor by the Bayerische Landesbodenkreditanstalt, which is responsible for loan administration. Payment is made according to the progress of construction and must be applied for at the approval office. Applications for funding must be submitted to the government, the state capital of Munich and the cities of Augsburg and Nuremberg. These offices will also provide information on the further procedure.
