Psychosocial addiction counseling centers; application for funding

The teams at the psychosocial addiction counseling centers are generally made up of psychologists and social education workers who offer counseling, support and assistance, mediation, crisis intervention, etc. There is networking with other addiction support facilities and services, registered doctors, self-help groups, clinics and outpatient clinics.

The psychosocial addiction counseling centers are open to people who are affected or threatened by substance-related disorders (e.g. drugs, alcohol), who are affected or threatened by non-substance-related disorders (e.g. eating disorders, gambling addiction) or who have fallen into mental crises/emergency situations due to the above problem constellations. The social environment (especially caregivers) must be included in this process.

The personnel and material costs are mainly financed by the district.
