Statistics online; data collection via the Internet

The Federal Statistics Act (BStatG) was amended with the "Act on the Promotion of Electronic Administration" of August 1, 2013. § Section 11a of the BStatG now obliges the public administration to collect statistical data using electronic reporting procedures. In future, companies and businesses will be required to submit their data via the electronic reporting procedures provided by the Bavarian State Statistical Office.

The collection and processing of statistics as well as the publication of the results in an integrated process using all information technology and organizational possibilities can contribute to relieving the burden on those obliged to provide information as well as on official statistics. Ideally, the data is already supplied in digitalized form and processed electronically without media discontinuity.

The Bavarian State Statistical Office therefore offers modern online survey procedures as an additional, cost-effective and secure way to participate in data collection via the Internet. It offers three different online reporting options for you as a respondent: IDEV, eSTATISTIK.core and the data transmission of official school data.
