Practical professional activity; notification of admission to the Bavarian Chamber of Architects

Graduates in architecture who are not under the supervision of an architect in the course of their work must report the commencement of their work.

Since August 1, 2019, it has been required in the field of architecture that the practical professional activity takes place under the supervision of an architect.

The practical professional activity under the supervision of an architect begins with the actual admission. The Bavarian Chamber of Architects may, but need not, be notified of the commencement.

If the practical professional activity is not completed in an office or other workplace under the supervision of an architect, supervision may also be provided by the Bavarian Chamber of Architects. In these cases, the Bavarian Chamber of Architects must be notified of the commencement of the practical professional activity.

• The following documents are required:
  • Degree certificate from the university
  • transcript
  • Diploma Supplement
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Advance payment of fees (proof)

• a degree in the field of architecture that is eligible for registration
• Taking up an activity where supervision by an architect is not guaranteed

The application can be made at the earliest after successfully completing at least eight semesters of study in architecture. The Bavarian Chamber of Architects must be notified of admission before it begins.

Registration: EUR 80.00

The costs will be credited when applying for entry in the list of architects.
