Vocational training as a specialist in housekeeping; application for examination of suitability as a trainer

You must apply to the responsible government for an assessment of the suitability of persons for the training of home economics specialists.

To ensure the quality of training and to protect the young trainees, training to become a home economics trainee may only be carried out by trainers who are professionally and personally suitable.

The examination of suitability is carried out by the responsible government.

• You will receive a compilation of the required documents from the responsible government after a consultation.

State recognition is granted if the following requirements are met:

• Personal suitability: Presentation of an extended certificate of good conduct for submission to an authority
• Professional suitability:
  • Proof of professional and work-pedagogical aptitude through:
    • Examination in accordance with the Instructor Aptitude Ordinance (AEVO) or
    • Master craftsman's examination in the home economics profession
  • Proof of professional aptitude through:
    • Master craftsman's examination in home economics or
    • Graduation from a technical college/technical school for nutrition and supply management or
    • Degree from a university/college (relevant) with professional experience in the field of home economics
  • Disability-specific qualification
