Mining; display of a borehole

Drillings that are not drillings for the exploration of mineral resources and penetrate deeper than 100 m into the ground must be reported.

For boreholes not covered by Section 2 of the Federal Mining Act and the associated operating facilities that are to penetrate more than one hundred meters into the ground, the start and cessation of drilling work must be notified.

The borehole penetrates deeper than 100 m into the ground and is not a borehole for the exploration of mineral resources.

The commencement and cessation of drilling work must be notified at least two weeks in advance. If drilling work has to be stopped within a shorter period of time, notification must be given immediately.

There is also an obligation to notify the State Office for the Environment in accordance with Section 8 of the Geological Data Act (for further information, see "Related topics").
