If you need a map for information and planning purposes relating to land or to verify property boundaries, you can apply for an official extract from the property map here.

The real estate map is the representative part of the real estate cadastre.

The real estate map contains

• Boundaries and numbers of the parcels,
• Buildings including the house number,
• Actual use of the land,
• buildings, infrastructure, bodies of water,
• selected topographical information,
• Administrative boundaries (district boundaries, municipal boundaries, etc.),
• Names of streets,
• on request, results of the land appraisal.

An extract from the official real estate map is required, among other things, for the verification of the property boundaries (boundary adjustment certificate), for planning and land readjustment as well as for property transactions.

The extracts are available in the scales 1 : 1,000 or 1 : 2,000, in color or in grayscale, in various sizes (DIN A4 to DIN A0, portrait or landscape format) and delivery formats (electronic, paper extract).

The extracts are provided by

• the cadastral offices of the State Office for Geoinformation and Land Surveying of Lower Saxony (LGLN),
• a publicly appointed surveying engineer (ÖbVI) licensed in Lower Saxony
• or by the responsible local authority, provided it is involved in the provision of these extracts.

There are no requirements - anyone can obtain an extract from the property map, both in the private and public sector.

No legal remedy (as no administrative act).

No right of withdrawal (as custom-made products - no right of withdrawal for online purchases of custom-made products - the Düsseldorf Regional Court (case reference: 23 S 111/13 U) ruled on 12.2.2014 that consumers have no right of withdrawal for online purchases of custom-made products, i.e. if they order a customized product).

The extract from the property map can be

• independently via the digital online procedure Katasterkarten-online or
• in writing or
• by e-mail.

The following information is essential for processing the application:

• Details of the requested parcel (address or parcel number),
• Details of the submission format,
• information on the scale,
• Details of the color variant,
• details of the applicant.

The extract from the real estate map will be sent by post or made available for download

An official extract from the real estate cadastre (real estate map) is subject to a fee. The fee is based on the cost regulations for official surveying (KOVerm). These cost regulations are binding for the cadastral offices of the State Office for Geoinformation and Land Surveying of Lower Saxony (LGLN) and for the publicly appointed surveyors.

The stated fee including VAT refers to an extract at a scale of 1 : 1,000 or 1 : 2,000 up to DIN A3 format.
