Waste law verification procedure
Disposal, i.e. the recovery or disposal, including the collection and transportation
including the collection and transportation of hazardous waste, is subject to a
proof under waste law
Description
The disposal, i.e. the recycling or disposal, including the collection and transport of hazardous waste, is subject to a waste verification procedure. Waste producers as well as owners, transporters, collectors and disposers of hazardous waste are obliged to do so on the basis of the Act on the Promotion of the Circular Economy and Ensuring the Environmentally Sound Management of Waste (KrWG). This does not apply to private households and small-scale producers who generate no more than two tonnes of hazardous waste per year.
Due to the Verification Ordinance, which regulates the verification procedure under waste law, electronic verification and register management is binding for all those affected. In individual cases, the competent authority may grant an exemption from this in whole or in part.
