Request deletion from the list of non-profit organizations

Organizations that no longer wish to be listed in the directory of non-profit organizations or that no longer meet the necessary requirements can have their entry deleted.

The Oldenburg Higher Regional Court maintains - also for the districts of the Braunschweig and Celle Higher Regional Courts - the directory of charitable institutions interested in the allocation of fines from pre-trial, criminal and clemency proceedings. The up-to-dateness and accuracy of the entries in the directory is of great importance for the efficient and transparent allocation of fines.

An entry in the directory can be deleted for various reasons:

• The organization's own initiative: the organization voluntarily relinquishes its continued listing in the directory.
• Withdrawal of non-profit status: The organization's non-profit status for tax purposes has been revoked or not renewed by the tax office.
• Dissolution of the organization: The organization has dissolved or merged with another organization.
• Failure to fulfill obligations: Missing or late reporting, unreported changes or violations of the terms of the listing.
• Other reasons: Other circumstances that make listing inadmissible or impractical.

• In order to be able to apply for deletion, an entry must already exist in the register of non-profit organizations.

There is no provision for a formal legal remedy

• Call up the online service. The online service will guide you step by step through the application and the required evidence.
• The Oldenburg Higher Regional Court will check your application and carry out the corresponding deletion.

Once the application has been processed, the institution will receive written confirmation that it has been removed from the register.

The Oldenburg Higher Regional Court can delete an entry without a request from the institution if:

• Obvious violations of the conditions of the directory are found.
• The organization does not meet its accountability obligations.
• The organization no longer exists or no current availability can be proven.

Official orders or legal requirements require deletion.
