Notify change in the list of non-profit organizations

Institutions entered in the register of non-profit organizations are obliged to notify the Oldenburg Higher Regional Court of any changes to their relevant data and structures without delay.

The Oldenburg Higher Regional Court maintains - also for the districts of the Braunschweig and Celle Higher Regional Courts - the directory of charitable institutions interested in the allocation of fines from pre-trial, criminal and clemency proceedings. The up-to-dateness and correctness of the entries in the directory is of great importance for the efficient and transparent allocation of fines. Institutions are therefore obliged to report any changes to the Oldenburg Higher Regional Court without delay. This is the only way to ensure smooth consideration when allocating fines.

The following changes must be reported to the Oldenburg Higher Regional Court immediately in writing:

• Amendments to the articles of association: Any modification of the articles of association, in particular changes regarding the non-profit status for tax purposes, the purpose or the financial use of funds.
• Changes to the non-profit status: Withdrawal or modification of the exemption certificate or the provisional certificate from the tax office.
• Address and contact details: Change of address, telephone number or e-mail address of the organization.
• Bank details: Change of bank details to which fines are to be paid.
• Responsible contact persons: Change in the management of the organization or in the persons responsible for monetary charges.

Legal form or dissolution: mergers, restructuring, integration into other organizations.

Failure to report significant changes in good time may result in the institution in question being removed from the list. In particular, if proof of non-profit status is missing or bank details are no longer up to date, or if an institution can no longer be contacted, it will no longer be possible to allocate fines.
