Persons subject to registration in the register of intermediaries pursuant to Section 11a of the Trade, Commerce and Industry Regulation Act (GewO) must notify the competent licensing authority immediately of any changes to their details stored in the register of intermediaries.

For real estate loan brokers and fee-based real estate loan advisors: change from real estate loan brokerage to fee-based real estate loan brokerage and vice versa

Other changes, e.g. change of insurance company for professional indemnity insurance or equivalent guarantee, resignation of a competent person authorized to represent the company, cessation of activity

Except for the date of birth and the insurance company assuming liability, the register of intermediaries is publicly accessible online. The purpose of the register is in particular to enable the general public, especially investors and insurance companies as well as borrowers and lenders, to verify the license and the scope of the licensed activities of the persons subject to registration. Anyone can search for a person subject to registration by entering their name or register number.
