Apply for advance payment for personnel costs for church-run alternative schools

Ecclesiastical providers of alternative schools that have emerged from public schools can apply for advance payments for participation in ongoing personnel costs.

As a church sponsor of an alternative school that has emerged from a public school, you can apply for a contribution from the state of Lower Saxony towards ongoing staff costs. However, as this application can only be submitted after the end of the school year in question, you have the option of applying for payments on account.

Action before the administrative court

You can apply for payments on account for the reimbursement of personnel costs for the coming school year.

• You fill out the application for advance payments and send the signed version electronically to the responsible authority
• The authority checks your application and, if the result is positive, grants monthly payments on account
• After the end of the school year, you must submit an application for reimbursement of personnel costs, stating the advance payments received

Fee free of charge

After the end of the school year, the reimbursement of personnel costs must be applied for separately. The advance payments received will be offset.

Advance payments can also be requested for the reimbursement of material costs.
