    For the supply of certain chemicals, for example in wholesale and retail, a certificate of competence is required in accordance with the Chemicals Prohibition Ordinance.

    There are different types of expertise:

    • comprehensive expertise
    • limited expertise without biocidal products or plant protection products
    • limited expertise for biocidal products or plant protection products
    • limited substance-specific expertise

    The certificate of competence can be acquired by passing an examination.

    The examination can be conducted either by the competent authority or by a recognized examination institution.
