• In this case, you must submit an application for recognition of the courses to the competent authority. You must meet the legal requirements for the recognition of the courses. The necessary evidence must be provided for this.

The courses for the acquisition of the necessary specialist knowledge in radiation protection will be recognised if the respective requirements are met. The course is to be recognized if:

• the course content is suitable for imparting the necessary skills and knowledge in radiation protection for the respective field of application,
• the qualifications of the teaching staff, the teaching materials used and the equipment of the course venue ensure a proper transfer of knowledge
• performance is monitored.

• You can send the documents for the course you are planning to take by post.
• The competent authority will check whether the course you are describing conveys the content provided for such courses in the Subject Knowledge Guideline.
• If the course meets all requirements, the course will be recognized. This is done by written notification.
• Finally, the competent authority will send you a notice of costs.
