Before you receive your residence permit, you do not have to take care of the recognition procedure in Germany. You can also start the recognition procedure after your arrival in Germany. The Federal Employment Agency ensures that the applicants preselected in the placement agreement are recruited in countries with an appropriate standard of training.

You must also make a declaration that you will carry out the procedure to determine equivalence or, in the case of regulated professions, to obtain a license to practice the profession after entering Germany.

The residence permit entitles you to work up to 20 hours a week, independent of the professional qualification to be recognized.
