Public bodies, companies and private individuals can apply for information on business registration data.

The trade register is a list kept by the municipal administrations of the tradespeople registered in the municipality who have their registered office in the respective municipality.

Public bodies, companies and private individuals can obtain information about the business registration data collected upon request. The consent of the person concerned is not required for their data to be passed on.

Business registration data:
- The name of the trader, the business address and the reported activity (basic data) can be made generally accessible.

- For further information on business registration data, you must demonstrate a legal interest - for example, to assert legal claims or to grant credit to the trader.

The local trade office of the municipal or city administration is responsible.

Alternatively, you can contact the Single Point of Contact in Rhineland-Palatinate. The Single Point of Contact is a public office through which you can handle all administrative procedures and formalities that are required for the commencement and exercise of your service activity and for the recognition of a foreign professional qualification.
