Political party: Foundation

A party is an association of citizens that seeks to influence the political decision-making process at federal or state level on a permanent or long-term basis and to participate in the representation of the people in parliament. According to the overall picture of the actual circumstances, in particular the scope and strength of its organization, the number of its members and its public profile, it must offer sufficient guarantee of the seriousness of this objective.

The establishment of a new party is governed by federal law, about which the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the Federal Returning Officer provide information.
