Compulsory education
Do you have a six-year-old child? Then compulsory schooling begins for this.
Description
All children who finish the age of six by 31 August are required to attend school in the same year. At the request of the guardians, younger children can be admitted to school if, as a result of their development, it is expected that they will participate successfully in the lessons. This includes children who have not yet reached the age of 6 and are born after 31.08.
A deferral from school attendance is possible for school-aged children for important reasons once at the request of the parents. As a rule, it should only be carried out if this is necessary for health reasons. These children can be supported in a school kindergarten or a day care centre.
