Applying for admission of a child to primary school care

If you have one or more children at elementary school and need help with childcare, you may be able to register them for a childcare program at elementary school.

The aim of the "Betreuende Grundschule" service is to support you as parents of primary school pupils in achieving a better work-life balance.

The "Betreuende Grundschule" is a "pure" care measure. Your child will not receive tutoring or homework help.

You are not entitled to this care. Admission to the "Betreuende Grundschule" depends on the number of places available.

Please contact the school's respective sponsor. This could be your local authority, your town or the school's support association, for example.

Your child must attend an elementary school that offers appropriate childcare facilities.

Your child will be admitted to the "Betreuende Grundschule" for one school year (1.8. to 31.7.).
