    Description

    Under certain circumstances, you may be excluded from participating in the European elections.
    If you have German citizenship, this is the case if you no longer have the right to vote due to a court decision.
    The same applies to you if you are a citizen of the European Union. In addition, you may lose your right to vote due to a civil or criminal court decision in your country of origin.

    Judicial decision in Germany or civil or criminal decision in the country of origin.

    Prerequisites

    You have been deprived of your right to vote by a court decision in Germany or by a civil or criminal law decision in your country of origin.

    Procedure

    Exclusion from the European elections is carried out as follows:

    • the courts send the relevant judgments to the municipal administration,
    • the municipal administration notes the exclusion from the right to vote in the register of residents.
