Extension of a driving license for passenger transport with a limited period of validity for passenger cars in scheduled services or for commercial excursions or vacation destination trips

The driving license for passenger transport (FzF) for passenger cars in scheduled services or for commercial excursions or vacation destination trips is issued for a maximum of five years and can be extended for up to five years at the holder's request.

Please note: If the application is submitted after expiry of the validity period of the FzF, an extension is no longer possible. A new FzF must be applied for.

Responsibility lies with the locally competent driving license authority.

• Official proof of place and date of birth (e.g. identity card or passport)
• Current registration certificate, if applicable
• EU/EEA driver's license
• Certificate of good conduct for submission to an authority (service description in the Hessenfinder)
• Current information from the driving aptitude register
• Proof of physical and mental aptitude
• Proof of fulfillment of the vision requirements
• Proof of resilience, orientation, concentration, attentiveness and responsiveness (if extended beyond the age of 60)
