    The School Psychology Service offers psychological counseling for teachers, parents and pupils at all state schools in Thuringia.

    Description

    For school administrators, teachers and educators

    We support you with

    • Individual coaching and supervision on professional requirements and goals,
    • Group supervision and case discussion groups,
    • Advice on, for example, dealing with pupils, parents, colleagues, professional stress and experiences of physical and psychological violence.

    For teams, colleges and steering groups

    Our services include

    • Advice and support as part of team and school development processes,
    • In-school training on pedagogical and psychological topics, for example communication, stress management and health promotion, intercultural competence,
    • Counseling and mediation in conflicts,
    • Acute intervention and aftercare in the event of school crises.

    If we are unable to meet your counseling and training needs ourselves, we will be happy to support you in your search for suitable counseling services and speakers.

    For pupils

    Sometimes things just don't run smoothly at school.

    We are there for pupils, for example when

    • difficulties arise with teachers, classmates or schoolmates,
    • a very stressful experience has taken place,
    • learning is difficult or concentration is not working,
    • fear of exams or school becomes a problem.

    For parents

    Difficulties at school are nothing unusual.

    We can advise you on issues such as

    • school crises, conflicts and bullying,
    • children's learning, motivation and concentration.

    We will be happy to help you find long-term support options in your region.

    Procedure

    • If you are a pupil, parent, teacher, head teacher or other person seeking advice, you can contact the school psychological service directly. If the persons concerned agree, it is desirable that you first contact the school, i.e. the teaching and counseling staff, with your concerns. The joint participation of different groups of people involved in a problem area is an advantage. Individual discussions are of course possible. You can find out the office hours of the school psychological service from the respective state education authority. You should make an appointment by telephone or e-mail.
