Required documents
Identification documents of the persons to be deregistered
If you are unable to attend in person, the signed registration form can also be presented by an authorized person (power of attorney required). For families, it is sufficient if one of the adult family members appears in person and the family has moved out together. Please remember to bring all the family members' identity cards and passports with you.
Prerequisites
Actual moving out of the home and not moving into a new home in Germany.
In the case of a temporary absence with the possibility and intention of continuing to use the home, there is no obligation to deregister
In the case of persons under the age of 16, care must be taken to ensure that they are deregistered by the person from whose home they are moving out.
In contrast to moving in, moving out does not need to be confirmed separately by the landlord.
