Child Day Care Permit

In day care, children aged 0-14 years can be cared for.

A person who wishes to care for one or more children outside the household of the parent or guardian during part of the day and more than 15 hours a week for a fee for more than three months requires permission.

Permission must be granted if the person is suitable for child day care.

Suitable persons are:

• who are characterized by their personality, expertise and willingness to cooperate with legal guardians and other child day care workers and
• which have child-friendly premises.

They should have in-depth knowledge of the requirements of child day care, which they have acquired in qualified courses or proven in any other way.

The permit authorizes the care of up to five foreign children present at the same time. In individual cases, permission may be granted for a smaller number of children.

The permit is limited to five years.

The Youth Welfare Office is responsible for granting permission for child day care, in whose area the child day care worker carries out or will carry out his activity.
