People with significant disabilities in a workshop (WfbM)

A workshop for disabled people offers work and care for people who cannot or cannot yet be employed on the general labour market due to their disability.
The aim is to achieve employment on the general labour market through appropriate support, if possible.

A completed social assistance application must be submitted with Annex T. Upon receipt of the application, further individually required documents will be requested.

Integration assistance for disabled people according to the Ninth Book of the Social Code and §§ 53-60 SGB XII

The benefit can be granted at the earliest when the need becomes known to the LWV Hessen or to a social welfare office.

As a rule, the Federal Employment Agency or a pension insurance institution/employers' liability insurance association is responsible for admission to the workshop and the associated entry procedure (duration up to 3 months) and in the vocational training sector (duration up to 2 years); the responsibility of the LWV Hessen (working area) only starts afterwards.
