Counseling services on HIV/Aids, Mpox, hepatitis and sexually transmitted infections are available from the Hessian health authorities and independent providers (Hessian AIDS service organizations). Counseling is confidential, anonymous and free of charge. Counseling can cover topics such as HIV testing, infection risks, infection protection, fear of infection and options for vaccination against Mpox. There is also comprehensive information on HIV infection, AIDS, other sexually transmitted infections, hepatitis and Mpox. Advice can be given in person, online (e-mail, advice chat) or by telephone.
It is possible to have an anonymous HIV test as well as tests for hepatitis and other sexually transmitted infections at the health authorities and AIDS service organizations. The local health authority will inform you about the options and whether an appointment is necessary.
