Expert craftsman

The term "publicly appointed expert" is protected by law. Experts are responsible for the technical and qualitative control of products and services in a specialist area.

Experts shall make their objective, knowledgeable competence available to the public.
Typical estimation cases exist if:

• requires independent professional advice or information,
• assesses damage or determines a cause of damage,
• evaluates a thing,
• a professional dispute has been resolved in or out of court,
• established the actual condition of an object, e.g. for evidentiary purposes

Experts in the craft sector can only be appointed by the "Chambers of Crafts" or the Regional Council.

Recognition as an expert in the craft trades:
- Entry in the Register of Craftsmen
- At least 3 years of experience as a business owner or personally liable manager
- Proof of personal and professional aptitude
- Proof of economic suitability

Use of experts:
- No documents are required.
