Election worker
Description
Electoral assistants are citizens who are entitled to vote and who, on election day, lead the election process in the electoral boards as election supervisors and assessors and determine the provisional election result in the electoral district.
Serving on an electoral board appointed by the municipal or city administration is an honorary position. Every citizen is obliged to accept this position, which can only be refused for important reasons.

Worum geht es?
Die Demokratie lebt von der aktiven Teilnahme aller Bürgerinnen und Bürger am politischen Prozess. Wahlen sind ein Grundbestandteil. Die Durchführung einer Wahl ist jedoch nur mit einer Vielzahl ehrenamtlicher HelferInnen möglich. In Fulda werden bei jeder Wahl bis zu 750 WahlhelferInnen in 80 Wahlbezirken benötigt. Viele engagieren sich bereits seit Jahren.
Machen auch Sie mit, und helfen Sie bei der bevorstehenden Europawahl am 25. Mai 2014 und erfahren Sie Demokratie "hautnah"!
Was ist ein Wahlvorstand?
Jeder Wahlvorstand besteht aus 7 bis 9 Mitgliedern.
- 1 WahlvorsteherIn der/die die Tätigkeit des Wahlvorstandes leitet und die Aufgaben auf die übrigen Mitglieder verteilt
- 1 stellv. WahlvorsteherIn
- 1 SchriftführerIn, verantwortlich für die Erstellung der Wahlniederschrift
- 1 stellv. SchriftführerIn
- 3-5 BeisitzerInnen die u.a. folgende Aufgaben haben: Ausgabe der Stimmzettel, Unterstütztung bei der Auszählung und die gemeinsame ERmittlung des Wahlergebnisses
Unserer Wahlhelfer werden bestmöglich auf den Wahltag vorbereitet. Je nach Funktion erhalten Sie für Ihre ehrenamtliche Tätigkeit ein Erfrischungsgeld von 25,00 Euro bis zu 35,00 Euro. Gerne können Sie auch zusammen mit Freunden oder im Verein ein Wahllokal übernehmen. Sprechen Sie uns auf Ihre Wünsche an!
Der Wahltag
Alle Wahllokale sind von 08:00 - 18:00 Uhr durchgehend geöffnet. Die Mitglieder des Wahlvorstandes können sich tagsüber ablösen. Es müssen stets mindestens 3 MitgliederInnen des Wahlvorstandes anwesend sein. Die Einsatzzeit wird mit dem/der WahlvorsteherIn abgestimmt. Ab 18:00 Uhr zählen alle Mitglieder des Wahlvorstandes gemeinsam die Stimmen aus.
