Rescue service

    Description

Statistically, every inhabitant needs the rescue service once every 10 years. Be it a heart attack, a stroke, another serious illness or a traffic accident.

Then it is important that he is helped as soon as possible. For this purpose, a highly qualified and economical assistance system is maintained in Hesse, which ensures emergency care and patient transport in the areas of ground/water/mountain and air rescue day and night for the citizens of this state.

In Hesse, the traditional aid organisations are primarily active in the rescue service: German Red Cross (DRK), Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB), Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe (JUH) and Malteser-Hilfsdienst (MHD). In addition, professional fire brigades and private companies are used in the rescue service in Hesse.

On their behalf, qualified paramedics, paramedics and emergency doctors are deployed every day throughout the country, who have extensive knowledge of the modern standards of emergency medicine. These operations, which are often a matter of life and death, are carried out with state-of-the-art ambulances or rescue helicopters. The initial medical care of emergency patients and their proper transport to a suitable hospital is thus in the best hands.

    • Emergency patients are transported to the nearest appropriate hospital or doctor for further treatment.

    • The well-lit house number helps emergency services find your house.
    • Since valuable time can be lost for the rescue of the person concerned from the emergency message to the arrival of the rescue forces, everyone should have basic knowledge of first aid and refresh it regularly.
