Associations are organizations in which people have joined forces for a specific common purpose. The structure and tasks of an association are laid down in the association's statutes.

If you would like to set up an association, please contact your local court. There you will receive information about all necessary formalities.

The court responsible for your place and your request can be found in the "Directory of Places and Courts", which is maintained jointly by the Federation and the Länder.

Many Hessian citizens would like to volunteer, but do not know how to find the right volunteer position for them. Many associations, initiatives, organizations and other voluntary institutions, on the other hand, are desperately looking for volunteers, for support through donations or the opportunity to present themselves and their events. The volunteer search engine of the state volunteer campaign "Gemeinsam-Aktiv" is the first Internet platform in Germany that now brings these two groups together free of charge and almost nationwide throughout Hesse.
