Description
A party is an association of citizens that wants to influence the political decision-making process permanently or for a longer period of time at federal level or in a state and participate in the representation of the people in parliaments. It must offer a reasonable guarantee of the seriousness of that objective, having regard to the overall view of the facts of the case, in particular the size and stability of its organisation, the number of its members and its public appearance. The founding of a new party takes place in accordance with federal law, about which the Federal Ministry of the Interior and the Federal Returning Officer provide information.
