Educational child and youth protection is a general preventative counseling and educational service for children, young people and parents that
- enable young people to protect themselves from harmful influences and teach them critical thinking, decision-making skills, personal responsibility and responsibility towards other people,
- to better enable parents and other guardians to protect children and young people from harmful influences.
Educational child and youth protection is achieved, for example, through
- Projects to empower children and parents,
- in the context of family education,
- in the context of youth work or
- through general awareness campaigns.
