Applying for a supplement to the disabled person's pass with or without a token

If you are severely disabled, you can use local public transport free of charge or receive a vehicle tax reduction under certain conditions.

People with severe disabilities can receive certain benefits and compensation for disadvantages.

For example, if you have a two-color severely disabled person's pass with certain characteristics, you can use this application to apply for a supplementary sheet and a token.

You can then claim the following benefits:

• free transportation on local public transport or
• a reduction in vehicle tax

To be able to use free local public transport, you must purchase a token for half a year or a whole year against payment of a personal contribution.

You do not have to pay the personal contribution if you have certain characteristics or receive certain social benefits.

Alternatively, you can apply for a supplement without a token instead in order to receive a reduction in vehicle tax.

People with certain characteristics can use the supplementary sheet with a token to claim both a reduction in vehicle tax and free local public transport.

If your supplementary sheet is damaged or you have lost it, you can apply for a replacement document.

You can apply for the supplementary sheet and token informally at your local pension office.

Responsibility lies with the Hessian Offices for Care and Social Affairs.

To the Hessian Office for Supply and Social Affairs responsible for your place of residence.

• Valid two-color disabled person's pass including certain characteristics
• If applicable, proof of receipt of certain social benefits for exemption from the cost of the personal contribution to the token

• You have a degree of disability of at least 50.
• You have a valid two-color disabled person's pass.
• At least one of the following characteristics is entered on your severely disabled person's pass:
  • G
  • aG
  • B
  • H
  • Bl
  • E
  • TBl

If you receive a negative decision:

• Appeal
• Complaint

• For supplementary sheet with paid token or without token: a few days
• For supplementary sheet with free token: approx. 2 weeks
• The processing time may vary in the event of a rejection.

The costs apply to the issue of the supplementary sheet.: Fee free of charge

The costs apply to the issue of a token if you have been awarded at least one of the Bl or H marks or if you receive certain social benefits as a severely disabled person.: Fee 53,00 EUR

The costs apply to the issue of a token for a whole year if you have not been awarded at least one of the Bl or H signs.: Fee 104,00 EUR
