Description
If you decide to install and operate a heating oil system,
a notification to the water authority is required. The following must be reported
- the construction of underground installations (regardless of the storage quantity),
- the construction of above-ground installations with more than 1,000 liters of heating oil ("above-ground" also includes storage in the basement of a building) and
- all significant changes and the decommissioning of the system

Description
Der Fachdienst Wasser- und Bodenschutz nimmt die der Unteren Wasserbehörde und der Unteren Bodenschutzbehörde übertragenen Aufgaben nach den wasser- und bodenschutzrechtlichen Bestimmungen (Wasserhaushaltsgesetz, Hess. Wassergesetz, Bundes-Bodenschutzgesetz, Hess. Altlasten- und Bodenschutzgesetz) wahr.
Hierzu gehört der Schutz der oberirdischen Gewässer mit ihren Ufern und des Grundwassers als Bestandteile des Naturhaushalts, als Lebensgrundlage des Menschen, als Lebensraum für Tiere und Pflanzen sowie als nutzbares Gut. Schädliche Bodenveränderungen sind abzuwehren, Sanierungen zu überwachen und Vorsorge gegen nachteilige Einwirkungen auf den Boden zu treffen.
