Health Professional Title - Permission

Would you like to receive information about the granting of permits to use the professional title in the so-called health professions? In addition to the classic nursing professions and obstetrics, these also include the therapeutic professions (e.g. masseurs and med. lifeguards or physiotherapists) as well as the assistant professions (e.g. medical-technical assistants).

In this context, we inform you about:

• the respective federal and state training and examination regulations
• Further training opportunities in the health professions
• Possibilities of shortening education or training
• Recognition of training and further education completed abroad
• other requirements for exercising the profession (e.g. health suitability and reliability),
• the issuance of certificates for use abroad

Since 01.01.2023, the Hessian State Office for Health and Care (HLfGP) has been responsible.
